Amalgament vs. Viktor

An AI employee vs. a measured result

Viktor gives your team an AI employee to delegate tasks to. Amalgament starts with an economic opportunity, builds whatever it takes, and measures the result in your own systems.

What Viktor is

From their own site, read 2026-09-17

  • Positions itself as a hire, not a tool: "Not a tool. A hire."
  • Lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Anyone on the team can @mention it in a thread and it performs multi-step work across connected tools, then delivers the finished output in the channel.
  • Connects to 3,200+ tools.
  • Asks for confirmation before high-stakes actions. Work that emails customers or touches payments waits in the thread until someone approves.
  • Recurring work is taught by screen-recording the task. Viktor turns the recording into a written procedure and proposes a scheduled task, which stays paused until someone approves it.
  • Keeps what it learns across the team and builds a knowledge base from the channels it joins.
  • Starts with free credits, then from $50 a month on usage-based credits.

Our read

Read fairly, Viktor is a capable AI coworker for a team that already works in Slack and is comfortable delegating to, briefing and supervising an AI. It is fast to install, it reaches a lot of tools, and it puts a human gate in front of consequential actions.

What stays with the customer is the operator's job. Someone decides what to hand over, records how the work is done, reviews what comes back, approves the schedules, watches the credits, and steps in when a run goes wrong. Viktor is the employee. Your team is still the manager.

What Amalgament is

Amalgament builds systems that improve the economics of a business. We measure the work in customers created, revenue created and cost removed.

We start with the economic opportunity, not the technology. Scout finds demand the business is not capturing and turns it into customers. Forge finds revenue inside the customers, capabilities and relationships the business already has, then builds the offer and the system that make it real. Sift finds recurring cost that can be removed without losing the capability behind it.

Before we build, we record a baseline. Then we build and run whatever combination of software, AI, data, automation and execution the opportunity requires, and measure the result in your own systems of record. You never have to choose the technology.

Customers created. Revenue created. Cost removed.

Side by side.

Text, not checkmarks. Where both do a similar thing, the row says so.

What you buy
ViktorAn AI employee, priced on usage credits, that your team delegates to inside Slack or Teams.
AmalgamentA defined economic result: customers created, revenue created or cost removed, against a baseline recorded before work starts.
Who operates the AI
ViktorYour team. You brief it, review its output, approve its actions and manage its memory.
AmalgamentWe do, when AI is part of the answer. You never see a prompt, a credit balance or an agent setting.
Who decides what to automate
ViktorYou. Viktor can offer to take tasks it sees in channels, but the decision and the teaching are yours.
AmalgamentWe do, starting from the economics. We look for demand you miss, revenue you could add or cost you could remove, then decide what to build.
Who maintains business context
ViktorViktor builds a knowledge base from what it is told and what it observes. Your team corrects it.
AmalgamentWe keep the context the work depends on: your tools, records, rules and the baseline we measure against.
Who builds the workflows
ViktorYour team teaches each recurring task, usually by recording it. Viktor writes the procedure.
AmalgamentWe build and run whatever the result requires: software, automation, data, AI or plain execution.
Your software burden
ViktorLow to install. Ongoing: briefing, reviewing, approving schedules, watching spend.
AmalgamentLow. You authorize connections, read-only where possible, so the result can be checked in your own systems. You never choose the technology.
Human accountability
ViktorThe customer's own staff, at the approval step.
AmalgamentAmalgament, for the result against the agreed baseline, not only for an approval step.
Core unit of work
ViktorThe task. "Follow up with these 14 leads."
AmalgamentThe result. "Turn more of the leads you already get into customers."
Setup model
ViktorInstall the app, connect tools, start asking. Minutes.
AmalgamentFind the opportunity, record the baseline, agree the source of truth, then build. Slower to start, on purpose.
Ongoing improvement
ViktorHappens when your team notices something and re-teaches or corrects it.
AmalgamentMeasured against the baseline in your systems of record, so it is clear whether the work is paying off.
Best fit
ViktorTeams in Slack or Teams that want an AI coworker and have someone willing to manage it.
AmalgamentOwners who want more customers, more revenue or less cost, and do not want to become an AI operator.

The unit of work.

Both start with the same fourteen leads. The difference is whether anyone counts how many became customers.

Viktor

"Follow up with these 14 leads." The AI works the list. Someone approves the emails. Next week, someone asks again.

Amalgament

"Turn more of our leads into customers." Scout looks at where the leads come from, what happens after they arrive and where they drop out, then builds what closes the gap. The result is counted in the CRM or the invoices, not in emails sent.

Which one, honestly.

Choose Viktor if
  • Your team lives in Slack or Teams and wants an AI coworker in the thread.
  • Someone on the team is willing to brief, review and manage it, and enjoys that.
  • You want usage-based pricing and a very fast start.
  • The work is mostly one-off deliverables: a report, a dashboard, a small internal tool.
Choose Amalgament if
  • You want a business result, not an AI to manage.
  • You would rather someone else choose the technology.
  • You want the result measured in your own CRM, invoices or payments, against a baseline agreed up front.
  • The opportunity crosses several systems: marketing, intake, CRM, follow-up and billing.

A few good questions.

Start with the opportunity. Measure the result.

Keep your tools. We find where the business can win customers, add revenue or remove cost, record a baseline, build what it takes, and measure the result in your own systems.
