A technical team for your practice.
Amalgament is your own technical team, for $2,500 a month. For an architecture or engineering practice that means the fee billed against a phase nobody reconciled, the submittal waiting on a client, and the project status assembled for every Monday meeting. We connect the project and accounting systems, automate the follow-up, and build one view of phases, open items and fees. We learn how the practice works, tell you what is worth doing first, and look after what we build.
The questions that end up with you.
Today someone pieces each answer together from several systems, by hand. Finding a better way to answer them is the work we take on.
“Where are we on the Hillside project, and what's next?”
“How much of the fee have we billed on this phase?”
“Which submittals are still waiting on the client?”
“Who is the project manager on the school job?”
Built for how architecture and engineering firms work.
Examples of the work we take on. What we actually build depends on your systems, and we confirm it before anything starts.
One view of the work
Phases, open items and fees billed across every project, in one view.
Follow-up that runs itself
Client updates and invoice reminders prepared for a project manager to review and send.
Prepared, then approved
Project data entered once, across the project and accounting systems.
Answers for new people
A new member of staff able to find what the practice already knows about a project.
Your clients' plans and your fees are confidential, and a personal AI account is the wrong place for them. We ask for access to the systems involved and nothing else, we agree in writing what we touch, and you can revoke access at any time. Your records stay in your systems, and they stay yours if we stop working together.
Firms usually run on project and accounting software (such as Deltek Vantagepoint, Ajera or BQE CORE), file storage, design files, email and calendar. We start from the systems you already use and confirm what we can connect before anything starts.
We are a small company taking on a limited number of clients, so every one gets real attention.
What owners ask us.
Does it change our drawings or models?
- No. It works around your projects. Design files are not touched.
Will it send anything to a client on its own?
- Where a workflow ends in a client message, a person reviews and sends it.
What access do you need?
- Access to the systems involved, granted by you, limited to what the job needs, and yours to revoke at any time.
Do you replace our IT provider?
- No. We do not fix laptops, printers or networks and we are not a help desk. We improve and look after the systems we agree to take on, and we are happy to work alongside whoever supports your IT.
How do we start?
- With a conversation about how the business runs and where the time goes. We tell you plainly what is worth doing first and what it would take, and nothing starts until that is agreed in writing.
What does it cost?
- $2,500 a month, agreed before work starts. The fee covers an agreed amount of ongoing technical work; anything bigger is scoped and priced before it starts.
