A technology consultant for how your business runs.
Small business IT usually means two different jobs. One keeps laptops, email accounts and networks working: that's a managed IT provider. The other makes your software work together, so the business runs with less manual work: that's us. Many businesses need both, and we work alongside your IT provider.
What owners bring to us.
Examples in an owner's words, to show the kind of work we take on. They are not finished client projects.
“We pay for ten apps and none of them talk to each other.”
“I want to see sales, jobs and cash on one screen.”
“Our CRM is a mess. Can someone set it up properly?”
“New staff need access to six systems. Can that be one checklist?”
“We keep a spreadsheet the whole business depends on. That scares me.”
“Is there a better way to do our quotes than Word and email?”
What we do as your technology consultant.
We learn which tools you use, who uses them and where information gets retyped.
We connect them, clean up the setup and automate the steps that repeat.
A report, a form, a small internal tool, or AI where it saves real time.
We maintain what we build and keep a written record of how it all fits.
Managed IT provider or a technology consultant?
| Amalgament | Managed IT provider | |
|---|---|---|
| Laptops, printers, networks | No | Yes |
| Help desk for staff | No | Yes |
| Connects your software | Yes | Sometimes |
| Automates admin | Yes | Rarely |
| Builds reports, tools and AI | Yes | Rarely |
We don't fix laptops, printers or networks, and we're not a help desk. We improve and look after the business systems and connections we agree to take on.
Common questions.
What does a small business IT consultant do?
- It depends on the consultant. Some look after equipment, security and networks. We look after how your software works together: connecting systems, automating admin, building reports and tools, and putting AI to practical use.
Do you replace our IT provider?
- No. We work alongside them. They keep your equipment and accounts running; we make your business software do more of the work.
What does it cost?
- $2,500 a month, agreed before work starts. The monthly fee covers an agreed amount of ongoing technical work, not unlimited development. Anything bigger gets its own scope and price before it starts.
Do you work with businesses near me?
- We work remotely with businesses anywhere in the United States, by video call, email and shared screens.
